Matt Lapinskas is the new favourite to win Dancing On Ice 2013 following last night's first live show.
The first half of twelve celebrities performed live on the ice for the first time, with Pamela Anderson, Keith Chegwin, Beth Tweddle, Shayne Ward, Samia Ghadie and Matt Lapkinskas all skating.
Following last night’s first Dancing on Ice live show, leading online odds comparison site Oddschecker.com can reveal that Eastenders star Matt Lapinskas is the new favourite to win this year’s competition, with current odds of 11/8.
Matt Lapinskas was the very early favourite following the announcement of contestants in December, but Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle stole the bookies’ top spot in early January. Following her first performance on the ice, Tweddle has been relegated to second favourite, with current odds of 5/2, despite receiving impressive comments from most of the judges.
Television presenter Keith Chegwin has seen his odds lengthen from 50/1 pre-show, to 66/1, after receiving the fewest public votes, alongside eliminated contestant Pamela Anderson.
Next weekend’s second live show will see the remaining six skaters – Oona King, Lauren Goodger, Luke Campbell, Joe Pasquale, Gareh Thomas and Anthea Turner – skate for the first time.
