Dancing On Ice 2013 will see the axe of eight professional skaters in a bid to refresh the show.
The latest series back in January saw a dip in ratings, which has already resulted in two judges being axed.
But Louie Spence and Katarina Witt aren't the only victims of the attempts to improve viewer figures, with eight of the pros being cut for the series in the new year.
Professional skaters who have been cut are Frankie Poultney, Nina Ulanova, Matt Gonzalez, Brooke Castile, Jodeyne Higgins, Sean Rice, Lukasz Rozycki and Alexandra Schauman.
It leaves just Maria Filippov, Mark Hanretty, Brianne Delcourt, Andrei Lipanov, Vicky Ogden, Daniel Whiston and Matt Evers on the professional line up.
A show source told The Sun newspaper: “Dancing On Ice is heading for its best year ever.
"Every single aspect is being improved.”
The new skaters joining the show in January include Robin Johnstone, Jenna Harrison, Andy Buchanan, Olga Sharutenko and Michael Zenezini.
Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley will be back hosting the show, while Jason Gardiner will be returning to the panel.
Celebs lined up for the new series include Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson, who recently appeared on Channel 5′s Celebrity Big Brother.
Also seen in training have been boxer Luke Campbell, gymnast Beth Tweddle, as well as soaps stars Samia Ghadie and Matt Lapinskas and telly host Anthea Turner.
The show starts on ITV1 in January.
