Former TOWIE star Amy Childs has backed Lauren Goodger to win Dancing On Ice 2013.

Amy told the Metro newspaper that she felt the show would help former co star Lauren keep fit.

Lauren is due to appear in the line up for the new series in the new year after leaving The Only Way Is Essex to take part in the show.

"Lauren is a size 12, she is curvy but she is not fat. She has a nice figure but she still gets so much stick for it. Dancing On Ice will help her to keep fit, so I'm definitely backing Lauren," Amy said. "I might go and watch her."

The former [cat c="big brother"]Celebrity Big Brother[/cat] contestant said she wouldn't be up for trying the show herself, but wouldn't mind taking part in Strictly Come Dancing next year.

She told the newspaper: "My dad always says if you ever get asked to do anything don’t do DOI.

"When Jennifer Ellison did it last year, it used to scare me watching her. I would definitely do Strictly though."

Other celebs lined up for the new series have included Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson, who recently appeared on Channel 5′s Celebrity Big Brother.

Also seen in training have been boxer Luke Campbell, gymnast Beth Tweddle, as well as soaps stars Samia Ghadie and Matt Lapinskas and telly host Anthea Turner.

The show starts on ITV1 in January.
