Despite being in a relationship, the pair had signed up for The Celebrity Dating Agency earlier this month

They were set to receive couples’ counselling from dating agents Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson

But now it’s been confirmed the couple will no longer be taking part due to contractual issues.

A spokesperson for the show said (via The Sun): “Lime Pictures contracted Katie and Kris to appear on Celebs Go Dating on the understanding that they were able to take part.

“Unfortunately it has come to light that by appearing in our show Katie will in fact be in breach of her contract with another TV production company. Katie and Kris will not now be a part of this year’s Celeb’s Go Dating series.”

Katie and Kris only announced their plans to appear on the show at the start of June.

At the time, Kris said: “I think our relationship just needs help ‘cos we disagree on a lot of things. We’ve been together a year and we’ve had a bit of a rough time.”

He added: “I think Paul and Anna have got some experience and they’ve probably dealt with some nightmares like her [Katie] before.”

Katie added: “I’m not a nightmare. you think you’re Mister Perfect. You love yourself.”

Kris concluded: “I think we need these guys help…”

Series 7 of Celebs Go Dating will air soon on E4 with a brand new line up of single celebs looking for love.

They’ll head out on dates with members of the public and, as always, every moment will be filmed for the cameras.

Names on the new Celebs Go Dating line up include former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger and Blue singer Lee Ryan.

Joining them are Geordie Shore’s Nathan Henry and Lady Colin Campbell, who’s set to be the show’s oldest ever singleton at the age of 69.

Also on the cast of Celebs Go Dating 2019 is Love Island winner Jack Fincham, who split from girlfriend Dani Dyer earlier this year.

Megan Barton Hanson, who appeared on Love Island last year alongside Jack, completes the current line up of six celebs after her split from Wes Nelson.
