Nadia Essex has given her say on her exit from E4's Celebs Go Dating.
The dating expert said previously she had "resigned" from the series after bosses announced she had been "suspended" following claims of "improper use of social media".
A spokesperson for the show said earlier this month that Nadia was no longer filming as part of the upcoming season, due to air in October.
"Nadia has been suspended following improper use of social media," they said.
The Sun newspaper reported that Nadia's suspension followed claims that she was "setting up fake accounts to troll certain users" online.
"Nadia has been suspended from the show until further notice and won’t be appearing on the rest of the series," said a source. “Bosses have made the decision following an investigation into Nadia’s use of social media."
Now Nadia has hit back, saying she was not trolling but rather "defending herself against trolls" following the exit of fellow dating agent Eden Blackman from the show.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Nadia claimed she was prevented from speaking out directly by show bosses.
"I now realise that my reactions were poorly judged but believing this was a way that I could speak the truth," she said.
Nadia previously told her fans on Instagram: "Today I have officially resigned from Celebs Go Dating."
She made the statement alongside a picture of a Jameela Jamil quote reading: "I just cannot stay silent any more. I can't. I don't care if I'm going down, I'm going down in flames. I'm fine not to work in this industry. But I'm not fine to not say something."
It was previously reported that Lara Asprey, who currently appears on W dating show The Ultimate Matchmaker, will replace Nadia.
Receptionist Tom Read Wilson is expected to be back, alongside new matchmaker Paul Carrick Branson who replaces Eden.
Meanwhile, the line up of celebs includes Sugababes star Mutya Buena, TOWIE's Chloe Sims and Love Island's Olivia Attwood and Eyal Booker.
Joining them are Made In Chelsea's Alik Alfus, TOWIE star and blogger Vas J Morgan and Diversity dancer Sam Craske, Goggleboxer Amy Tapper and Ibiza Weekender's Callum Alexandré Izzard.
Celebs Go Dating airs on E4.
