Britain's Got Got Talent: Ofcom clears Beatrix Von Bourbon's performances

Britain's Got Talent 2012 - Beatrix Von Bourbon

Telly watchdog Ofcom has cleared Britain's Got Talent over the airing of Beatrix Von Bourbon's performances.

Burlesque dancer Beatrix auditioned for the show back in April, and made it all the way through to the live semi-finals in May.

But some viewers complained about airing of the seductive performances, with a number of official complaints made to Ofcom.

Ofcom today concluded its investigation, find the show not in breach of breaking their broadcasting code.

ITV said that “the programme celebrates a variety of entertainment and British talent and therefore showcases a wide range of different types of act, not all of which will always be to everyone’s taste”.

Ofcom declared: "In our opinion this programme [...] would not have exceeded the likely expectations of the vast majority of the ITV1 and ITV2 audience – either when originally broadcast or when repeated."

They added: "With reference to the content, the performance and partial nudity was in Ofcom’s opinion appropriately limited and suitably brief in duration."
