Britain's Got Talent star Lauren Thalia has said finds singing and performing easier than her homework!
At just 12 years old, the young singer showed no nerves when she performed to 3,000 people on Saturday night, including judge Simon Cowell.
“I kind of wanted to impress Simon the most, because he is the most opinionated and knows what he's talking about if he did like me it means that I have got some potential," Lauren said before her audition.
The youngster performed a cover of Keri Hilson's "gangsta" (according to Carmen Electra) Turn My Swag On for the panel.
David Walliams raved: "You’re a little angel and I like that you’re kinda like Alanis Morissette, a very tiny Alanis Morissette. I really liked it.”
Speaking backstage to the official website, Lauren revealed: “I learned how to sing when I was about eight and I think from there I wanted to write my own stuff, so after a year or two I then decided to learn the guitar.”
She added: “I find it easier than school work actually, because I enjoy it so much, so it’s more like having fun rather than working.”
Now through to the callbacks, Lauren is hoping she'll be able to make it all the way to next month's live semi-finals.
"I guess they thought I was good for my age. There were some good comments. I’m really looking forward to the next round, so I hopefully get through. Fingers crossed I’ll make it," she said.
