The 19-year-old auditioned for Britain's Got Talent this year despite having signed a deal with The Voice of Ireland, where he made the live shows in January.
The teenager impressed the BGT judges and won hearts with his self-penned ballad No Name, but his future on the show has been in doubt due to a legal battle with The Voice.
Irish telly boss Larry Bass of channel RTE told the Herald: "No one has approached me about it and asked me to release him.
"A contract is a contract and they have to be honoured. Maybe Simon Cowell doesn't have my number but I haven't received any requests from anyone from Britain's Got Talent about Ryan.
"I do think he's very good though."
Ryan recently admitted that he was unsure of his future in the competition.
The singer, who was eliminated from The Voice Ireland in the first live show, said: “The semi finals are expected to start around the end of April, start of May, so we’ll see if get in or not, I don’t know yet, I’m still figuring it out."
