Britain's Got Talent hopeful Tony Roberts previously appeared on The Only Way Is Essex, getting help from TOWIE star James Arg Argent to lose weight.
The singer was seen winning a place in the next round on Saturday night, getting three yeses from the judges.
Speaking to The Sun today, Tony revealed how Arg helped him to lose six stone after he was told by doctors he could die.
“I lost the weight when a doctor told me I was close to a heart attack," Tony told the newspaper. “I weighed 25st when I was 19 and now I weigh 16st.
“Arg took me to boot camp with him and it was an amazing experience.”
And Tony revealed he was hoping to work with Arg on a record together in the future!
He said: “I met Arg a few years ago through Amy Childs and he loved my voice. We did talk about working together at the time. I can see us doing a swing duet one day.”
Meanwhile it's been revealed that Tony previously failed to make the live finals of The X Factor back in 2006.
“I got to the final 14 in Leona Lewis’s year," he explained. “I do think image matters and that’s part of why I wanted to get fit.
“I hit the gym and started dieting as well. Simon didn’t even recognise me this time around!”
