Britain's Got Talent 2012 auditions: Ant and Dec tease "amazing" dog act

Ant and Dec (Britain's Got Talent 2012)

Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant and Dec have teased an "amazing" dog act due to appear on the show in the coming weeks.

It's been no secret that BGT boss Simon Cowell hopes that a dog will one day win the show, but those that have appeared in previous years have been somewhat underwhelming.

If Ant and Dec are to be believed that could all change this year!

Ant teased: "There’s one dog act that’s so good I had to check there wasn't a zip."

He revealed: "It gets on its back legs and walks around."

Speaking with his co-host Dec, Ant joked: "It looks like a dwarf in a dog suit!"

BGT boss Simon Cowell previously admitted he would "consider" joining a dog on stage if it managed to win the competition.

Speaking at the show's press launch last month, the music mogul declared: "Because I would love a dancing dog to win so much, if it won I would consider dancing with it!”
