Britain's Got Talent boss Simon Cowell was nearly attacked ain his house at the weekend after finding a woman in hiding in his bedroom with a brick.
News of the break in broke last night, with a 27-year-old woman Leanne Zaloumis being charged with burglary of Simon's house in West London.
The Sun reports this morning that egotistical Simon was at home enjoying watching himself on ITV1 on Saturday night, which saw the return of Britain's Got Talent, when he heard a noise.
His spokesman Max Clifford told the tabloid today: "There was a loud bang and Simon rushed upstairs to find out what was going on.
"It came from the bathroom so he went in — and there was a woman standing there holding a brick.
"She had smashed her way in through the window and it was unclear how long she had been there or what she was doing."
Fortunately, Simon's own security team were on hand to detain the woman until police arrived.
Simon’s spokesperson added: "It was a very frightening experience for Simon, who told me it was like something from a horror movie.
"He was just very lucky that all she had was a brick. She could have had a knife, a gun or any other weapon."
Leanne Zaloumis will appear at West London Magistrates' Court today.
