Speaking at the media launch for new series of BGT yesterday, the panel were quizzed on their ratings battle with The Voice, with both shows premiering tomorrow night.
Simon said: "I did know that the BBC wanted a show to compete with the X Factor, and they've never liked that Britain's Got Talent did so well."
Meanwhile discussing tomorrow night's clash, which will see the two shows overlap for 20 minutes, Amanda told fans they should probably watch The Voice this time because Sir Tom Jones "might be spinning in his grave next week."
But Amanda hasn't been the only one to stick the knife in to The Voice UK coaches, with even many BBC stars criticising the show and its line up.
Chris Moyles on Radio 1 this morning poked fun at Danny O'Donoghue - naming him "that one from that Irish band" - while Radio 2 broadcaster Paul Gambaccini slammed the "karaoke completion" this week.
