Sources for both the BBC and ITV tell The Sun that both shows have pencilled in a start date for March 24, in just three weeks' time.
It'll mean that The Voice UK, airing its first ever series, will face an uphill battle to compete with TV giant Britain's Got Talent, which can attract up to 20 million viewers.
"This is typical of ITV, parking their tanks on our lawn just as we launch a major new format," a source for the Beeb told The Sun this morning.
They added: "They are smarting because they didn't get the show although they bid £10million more than us."
But a source for ITV hit back, telling the newspaper: "We haven't declared our launch date but, if I was a betting man, I'd go for March 24.
"The BBC know we always launch BGT around this time. If anyone is parking tanks on a lawn, it's them on ours!"
Neither side has yet to confirm a launch date, although it's expected both will be on air by the end of the month.
