Britain's Got Talent Amanda Holden has reportedly been left annoyed by people "slating" her for returning to work so soon after giving birth.
Feisty West End singer Amanda found herself battling Twitter bullies this week, with the former Princess Fiona actress telling them to "get a life" after criticising her for going back to the show.
Amanda, who gave birth to new daughter Hollie Rose late last month, was back on the judging panel in Scotland just three weeks later.
"Amanda thought other mums would congratulate her for bouncing back quickly - not round on her," a source tells Star magazine this week.
"She's bursting with energy, and would never go back to work unless he was 100 percent ready," the insider insisted. "At the end of the day, she's only sitting in a chair for a few hours!"
One Twitter use hit out at Amanda for 'abandoning' her newborn to appear on the show, to which the Wild At Heart star hit back: "Get a life – it’s a precious commodity. As are my family…already home.”
The source continued: "Nobody says a thing when new dads go back to work after two weeks' paternity leave.
"She keeps asking 'Why does everyone keep slating me?'. The negative response has left her really tearful and bewildered"
Britain's Got Talent 2012 returns to TV screens next month.
