Britain's Got Talent judges Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell have ended up arguing behind the scenes over a comment Simon made at the weekend's auditions.
Try outs for the current series concluded on Sunday in Birmingham, but there was still time for Simon to get in a few digs at the expense of his fellow judges!
One of the acts performing for the panel was dance group Lil’ Diamondz, who Alesha knew from a previous TV show.
She told the girls that they “hadn’t let her down” but Simon bitched: “What a silly comment to make. That’s a silly thing to say, Alesha.”
And he told the former Strictly judge to boos from the audience: “Sorry, who are you, anyway?”
A source told the Daily Mirror how Alesha was left upset and angry by the comments.
"Everybody could tell because she clammed up and looked really embarrassed," the insider explained. “Simon was reclining in his usual manner and didn’t seem bothered that he had just caused so much upset.
"Alesha was determined not to cause a scene in front of the audience but she really let rip behind closed doors.”
The sources went on to claim that Alesha, who quit Strictly to deflect to ITV1 last month, was left feeling "humiliated" by the comments.
“She told her friends that she felt his dig had been ‘out of order’ and stormed off to her dressing room," the spy continued. “She is not another Kelly Brook in this situation and knows that what she says on the panel is valid.”
A source close to Simon however played down the row.
“He never intended to slight Alesha – it was all harmless banter," they told the tabloid. "He always bickers with his fellow judges. It’s light-hearted fun which is just part of the show.
“By the next day’s auditions Alesha saw the funny side.”
