Filming for the thirteenth series of the ITV talent contest began last week at the London Palladium.

Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams are all back – and yesterday an emotional moment apparently left them close to tears.

According to The Sun, Leanne Mya stunned the theatre when she took to the stage and revealed she’d “survived Grenfell”.

Leanne lived in the London tower block with her partner and son before it was struck by fire in 2017.

She has since given evidence at the public enquiry in to the disaster.

Simon described Leanne’s performance of Sam Smith’s ‘Lay Me Down’ as a “moment with a capital M”.

He said: “You should be very proud. It’s really important what you just did because it’s easy to forget something like that with everything that’s going on in the world.

“For everyone who lost their lives and had all this crap thrown at them, you’ve had the courage to come out here and pay tribute. You did something very special for them and for you.”

The Syco boss previously arranged a Grenfell charity single, featuring artists including Rita Ora, Stormzy and Dua Lipa.

Meanwhile, a visibly moved Amanda added: “You were so terrified and so nervous but you delivered.

“It was effortless. You have a massive future ahead of you.”

The result of Leanne’s audition won’t be confirmed until Britain’s Got Talent airs on ITV in the Spring.
