The 10-year-old school pupil from Essex was one of the first acts to audition for the new series last month.

As try outs kicked off in April, Callum performed Michael Jackson’s “Who’s Lovin’ You”.

He said before his audition: “I love singing. I’ve got a really musical family. My nan was in the West End and I thought, if she can do it, I can do it. She’s amazing and I love her.

“If I got four yeses from the judges, I would probably cry and faint.”

Filmed at Christmas last year, Calum is seen bursting out into song in the isles of Asda.

He sings Who’s Loving You in a clip that has notched up over 2 million views to date.

“This is the heartwarming moment a young boy stunned shoppers with his incredible voice after unexpectedly breaking into song,” the video is captioned on YouTube.

Meanwhile, Calum’s Britain’s Got Talent audition has already racked up over a million hits since Saturday.

“What a big song for such a little guy,” David Walliams told the youngster after the performance.

“That was one of the biggest reactions we’ve had from anybody, it was fantastic,” Amanda Holden added after the crowd were left up on their feet.

And Simon Cowell told him: “You totally controlled the song. This was special and I like you a lot.”

With four yeses, Calum sailed through to the next round.
