A singer called Ju wowed the Britain’s Got Talent judges this year with an emotional audition.

Ju reportedly gave a powerful performance, after revealing to the judges how she had been inspired by last year’s contestants, The Missing People Choir.

The Missing People Choir appeared on 2017’s series, singing about their loved ones who were missing.

Ju told the judges how the choir had inspired her to reconnect with her family after ending up sleeping rough when the death of a loved one left her battling mental illness.

The Sun reports how Ju told the panel: “I was unwell. I heard about the Missing People Choir and they gave me the hope and the knowledge that there were people there who could help pull me back.

“I’m here to say you can get well, no matter how broken or low you feel.”

Ju went on to wow the panel with a self-penned song.

“What the choir did last year obviously made a difference and we hoped something like this would happen. And, likewise, you’re going to make a difference,” Simon said.

A show source told the tabloid: “No one expected such an amazing story or song, and she had the judging panel — particularly Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden — choked up. It’s set to be one of the stand-out moments of the series. The audience were in bits.

“The audition is a real Susan Boyle-type moment.”

Auditions for the new series of BGT wrapped up filming earlier this month.

As well as the usual singers and dancers there was also a plate smashing routine that ended in chaos and a moving performance from a victim of the Manchester Arena bombing.

Only a few hundred made it through after showing off their talents in front of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent judges, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden.
