Britain's Got Talent's Sarah Ikumu is the (very) early favourite to win this year's competition.
15-year-old Sarah Ikumu is the first Golden Buzzer act of the series after she forced Simon Cowell to hit the buzzer after her effortless rendition of ‘And I Am Telling You’ brought everyone to their feet.
Sarah is the early favourite at 4/1, eclipsing The Missing People Choir who were being tipped for success even before the show began.
The choir, who are made up of people who have loved ones missing, performed original song ‘I Miss You’ for their audition and are the very close second favourites at 5/1 to win.
Next in the betting is Jess Robinson who is a singing impressionist and can be backed at 12/1, with mind readers DNA priced at 14/1.
Eccentric magician Niels Harder features further down the betting at 33/1 with young comedian Ned Woodman priced at 66/1. Also progressing was Adam Keeler, Mahny and Robbie, Paws With Soul and Dan Graham, who are all 100/1 outsiders.
Aoife Heffron, Spokeswoman for BoyleSports commented: “The singers were the cream of the crop in the first of the Britain’s Got Talent auditions with Sarah Ikumu even getting Simon’s Golden Buzzer. The 15-year-old has undoubtable talent and is currently the early frontrunner at 4/1.”
She added “The Missing People Choir left everyone running for the tissues with their emotional performance of their original track ‘I Miss You’ and at 5/1 are the second favourites to take the title.”
Of course we're just one audition show down with many more to go...
Britain's Got Talent continues Saturday nights on ITV.
