Britain's Got Talent 2017 auditions rolled into London at the weekend, and David Walliams was in a 'playful' mood.

The show's judges reunited earlier this month in Blackpool for the start of filming of the new series.

The Britain's Got Talent judges for 2017 remain the same with Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda all returning for the 11th series.

Hosts Ant and Dec will also return to front the show as usual, having previously signed a new three year deal as presenters.

At the weekend the group were in London at the London Palladium Theatre for the latest round of auditions.

During filming, David poked fun at Simon over a newspaper story claiming Simon had once spent the night with Katie Price.

When a singer auditioning for the show revealed his song was about a mistake he'd made, David quipped at Simon's expense: “Was that the same mistake you made with Katie Price?”

A "backstage source" told The Sun newspaper: “David was in a cheeky mood and this was too good an opportunity to miss.

“The story was the talk of the audition and everyone was waiting to see how David was going to deal with it.”

Meanwhile if you want to audition there is STILL TIME (as we write this!), visit the BGT application website HERE on how to try out. Britain's Got Talent 2017 auditions will close on the 10th February 2017 at 23:59 GMT

Britain's Got Talent 2017 will air on ITV later this year with the exact launch date expected in April.
