Ant and Dec are said to be considering QUITTING Britain's Got Talent following this year's tenth series.
It comes as the duo prepare to renew their deal with ITV which sees them fronting shows such as BGT as well as I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Saturday Night Takeaway.
Earlier this year it was reported that the duo had begun negotiations over what may end up being a £30 MILLION deal over three years.
“It goes without saying they’re a huge part of ITV’s schedule and nobody wants to see them walk away, so they’re planning a new deal which will be very tempting for them," a source said at the time. “The conversations are coming over the next few months so they’re working on their offer well in advance to make sure it all goes smoothly.”
Now the Daily Mirror newspaper reports that talks have hit a road bump because Ant and Dec may step down from their roles on Simon Cowell's Britain's Got Talent.
The Geordie duo have hosted the talent show since the very first series and last month finished their tenth run.
A source claimed: “The pair are threatening to quit BGT which jeopardises the current BGT renewal negotiations with ITV.
“They have fronted BGT for 10 years now and are looking at their options."
A spokesperson for Ant and Dec commented: “Their ITV contract is up at the end of the year, so everything will depend on if they re-sign.”
