Britain's Got Talent 2016 judges hope to be blown away in the live shows

Alesha Dixon is hoping to be blown away in next week's Britain's Got Talent 2016 live shows.

The semi-finals of the latest series begin on Sunday and air across the week ahead of the grand final the next weekend.

It's the tenth series of the show as a landmark winner is crowned, winning a spot on the Royal Variety Performance as well as a £250,000 cash prize.

Alesha, who helped to pick the semi-finalists from all the auditionees with her fellow judges, said this week: "It does feel like a real milestone for the show and, because of that, all us judges have felt the pressure a bit more because we want to make sure the show lives up to that and we want to do the public proud."

However it's all down to the contestants to make sure they bring it.

Alesha continued: "The acts that stand out in the live shows will be the ones that seize their moment, up their game, deliver something unexpected and really capture our imagination. They only get that one chance to change their life!"

As for who she's backing to win, Alesha insists there are no favourites, including her own golden buzzer act.

She told What's On TV: "Honestly, I'm very open-minded when it comes to who wins the show because I love all different types of acts.

"I don't show any preferential treatment towards dance acts or singers just because that's what I love – I'd be just as happy if a stand-up comedian were to win, or a magician, or something we've never seen before."

Alesha added: "Like the viewers at home, we judges sit there wanting to be blown away, wanting to be surprised."

Britain's Got Talent 2016 continues this Saturday night on ITV at 8PM with the last of the auditions before the live shows begin on Sunday evening from 7:30PM.
