Britain's Got Talent 2016: Boogie Storm's audition is the most watched

BOOGIE STORM

Boogie Storm's audition on Britain's Got Talent 2016 has become the most watched of the series after less than two weeks.

The Stormtroopers appeared the weekend before last and won the golden buzzer for Simon Cowelll.

The group surprised the judges with an upbeat dance routine to songs including Sax, Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) and Single Ladies.

And after lots of encouragement from the audience, Simon slammed the gold buzzer.

"It's no surprise that the real life Darth Vader voted for his troops," David Walliams reacted.

Simon concluded: "The dark side has taken over."

The audition has since gone viral, racking up more than a million hits a DAY for a current total of 16 million views at the time of writing.

And that's not including the 12 million or so that watched the show on TV as well.

The dancers have now eclipsed Beau Dermott whose audition from the first weekend had been the biggest of this year so far.

12-year-old Beau was a stand out from the very first show, belting out Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked to stun the judges and live audience.

"Oh my God, you were so, so, so amazing. I am so excited for you, you were brilliant," gushed Amanda Holden who hit the golden buzzer, sending Beau straight through to the live shows.

Both Boogie Storm and Beau's auditions have each notched up more hits online than many past winners have, such as 2013 champs Attraction and 2012's Ashleigh and Pudsey.

Other popular acts online have included Ant and Dec's goden buzzer Jasmine Elcock, topless gymnasts 4G and sword swallower Alexandr Magala.

However none of them are the current favourites to win: Instead that title is currently tied between unique 'projection dancers' Another Kind Of Blue and magician Richard Jones.

Of course the auditions aren't quite over yet, we'll see the last crop of acts this Saturday on ITV from 8PM.

The live shows then begin on Sunday at 7:30PM on ITV, airing across the week.
