Josh Curnow wowed on Britain's Got Talent 2016 tonight, proving an old teacher wrong!
Singer-songwriter Josh performed a cover of Basket Case by Green Day, having been told to focus his efforts on another career.
He explained to the judges: "Britain's Got Talent is something that could really hopefully get me up that next level.
"The one thing I've wanted to be is a musician, at the age of 13 I was diagnosed as dyslexic and a teacher took to me to the side and told me 'You need to stop trying to be a musician and start aiming for either working in a superstore or stacking shelves'."
Simon Cowell replied: "Someone once said to me at school 'Your mouth's going to get you into a lot of trouble, Simon'
"So they don't know everything!"
But Josh's audition started off badly when David buzzed him BEFORE the performance - when Josh mentioned he had a girlfriend in the audience.
"Off, off, get off!" joked David.
"You lucky, lucky cow," he told Josh's girlfriend.
Josh then offered: "You can try David, you can come up here if you want, we can tango."
But Simon warned: "I really wouldn't go there."
After the performance, Simon described Josh as "charming" and remarks: "I would like to make a point to that teacher that he ought to know what he's talking about."
"That was great, you have a great quality to your voice," added David.
With four big yeses, Josh sailed through to the next round - but will he make the live shows? Stay tuned!
