Britain's Got Talent 2016: Gymnasts Sam and Hector win over David Walliams's mum

Young duo were only act to get a yes from Kathleen Williams

Young gymnasts Sam and Hector were the ONLY act to impress David Walliams's mother Kathleen Williams on Britain's Got Talent 2016 tonight after she stepped in as a guest judge.

The latest auditions episode saw David drag his mum up to join the panel as a last-minute replacement for a late Simon Cowell - but she proved to be even more harsh than the notorious Mr. Nasty, buzzing every single act she saw.

That didn't bode well for Sam, 14, and Hector, 12, who were the last hopefuls to perform in front of Kathleen - although they managed to make her chuckle with their introduction.

"We’re partners, but not brothers," said Hector, before a red-faced Sam added: "Not partners as in going out, gymnastic partners!"

Their acrobatic routine saw Hector balance on Sam's HEAD as he performed a series of handstands - and it turned out that they needn't have worried, as the tricky display won them a standing ovation from both the judges and the audience.

"You’ve completely blown us away today, it’s a stunning act," said David, while Alesha Dixon added: "This is the start of something big for you."

Even the hard-to-please Kathleen sung their praises, smiling: "That was absolutely fantastic. It’s a yes from me, definitely!"

Sam and Hector walked off stage with four yesses, and presenters Ant and Dec thanked them for managing to cheer Kathleen up.

"We asked you to change things round, and you did. Well done fellas!" Ant exclaimed.

It was then back to business as usual when Simon finally showed up, with the audience sending Kathleen off with a round of applause.

Britain's Got Talent continues with more auditions next Saturday at 8.00pm on ITV.
