Drag opera act Ruby Murry stuns Britain's Got Talent judges

A drag act stunned the Britain's Got Talent 2016 judges on tonight's show.

34 year old performer from London Tom Lee, aka Ruby Murry, has performed his drag act in front of cabaret audiences, in show bars and restaurants for the past two years.

"Hello love," said Ruby as she introduced herself to the judges, before revealing her real name of Tom Lee.

"It's an act, I'm not on a journey," he quipped.

For her audition, Ruby left the BGT judges very intrigued by an operatic cover of Nessun dorma.

"If only Pavarotti had dressed liked that," remarked David Walliams. "You are a fantastic singer."

Alesha Dixon said: "Your personality is amazing and you're very funny but your voice is wicked, I did not expect that to come out of your mouth, it was fantastic."

"What a surprise! You sang so brilliantly," commented Amanda Holden

With four yeses, Ruby sailed through to the next round of the competition.

Britain’s Got Talent 2016 airs Saturday nights on ITV.
