Britain's Got Talent's Wayne Woodward already has an army of female fans

Britain's Got Talent's Wayne Woodward has already got himself an army of female fans following Saturday's show.

At the weekend, Danny Dyer sound-a-like Wayne wowed the judges with a cover of a Frank Sinatra classic to sail through to the next round with four yeses.

During his pre-audition chat, Wayne revealed he was currently seeing a 'potential girlfriend', something which he's since cleared up.

He said: “We’re not together now but we’re still friends.”

That relationship fizzling out is unlikely to worry Wayne too much however.

In a chat with the Daily Star newspaper, he spoke this week about enjoying plenty of attention from a lot of new female fans.

"His crooning gets me swooning," wrote one on Twitter with other messages to Wayne bombarding him with marriage proposals.

Meanwhile speaking about the show itself, which is of course the most important thing, Wayne revealed why he chose BGT over The X Factor or The Voice.

He said: “I could be myself on Britain’s Got Talent and stick to the one genre I’m best at – swing.

"On shows like X Factor they have different theme weeks and it would be harder for me.”

The 20-year-old is currently waiting to see if he makes the live shows but is already planning for the future with an EP in the works.

“The idea was to get some publicity, test the waters and see what people think," he said. "I’d like to give my fans something to look forward to once the show is over.”

BGT continues Saturday nights on ITV.
