Britain's Got Talent star Calum Scott is on course for a chart hit, a year after he first appeared on the show.
The singer made it through to the final of last year's competition having been backed by Simon Cowell as the music mogul's golden buzzer act.
Calum performed a cover of Robyn's Dancing On My Own at his audition with Simon saying at the time: "It was amazing, I really mean that, well done.
"I've never, ever in all the years I've done this show heard a guy with the talent you've got. The version was sensational, you're more than a singer, you're an artist and that's why you got that [the golden buzzer]."
Calum has now released his version of the track with the single having gone on sale back in March.
But after some word of mouth, the song is now begining to climb the charts.
At the time of writing it's in the Top 10 of iTunes and Number 36 in the Midweeks.
Calum posted on Facebook last night from America where he is currently recording and gigging: "Ok so I wake up here in Manhattan Beach to news that I am No.9 in the main iTunes Chart and that I've jumped 155 places to No.36 in the Official UK Charts Top 40.. WHAT IS LIFE ?!"
Elswhere in the midweeks, The Voice UK winner Kevin Simm has dropped out of the Top 75 from Number 24 while X Factor stars Little Mix are set to score a new peak with their latest single Hair, thanks to a new version featuring rapper Sean Paul.
