Britain's Got Talent 2016 judges 'unnerved' by Simon Cowell's good mood

David Walliams hilariously suggests 'regular sex' is behind his backstage mischief!

Simon Cowell may be Mr. Nasty to the contestants on Britain's Got Talent 2016, but it seems backstage he's the joker of the judging panel.

With the media mogul in America yesterday for the last ever episode of American Idol, he was absent from the press launch for the new series of BGT - and the other three judges took the opportunity to reveal some of the mischief he's made.

Amanda Holden recalled a time that he tricked her in to being very rude to one female hopeful by asking if she was PREGNANT.

"This lady came on and he said to me, 'this is a lovely story and you should ask her, she’s pregnant'," Amanda explained.

"She wasn’t pregnant and then I thought, 'oh no, she doesn’t understand the terminology'. Simon then went, 'you’re so rude'! He does a lot of that."

And it seems the panel now has to keep a close eye on their phones when Simon's about.

"He does get a little bit carried away with our phones, stealing them and writing inappropriate tweets," Alesha Dixon said. "He can cross the line there. Apart from that he’s been so funny."

Commenting on Simon's current good mood, Amanda said she finds it "unnerving", while Alesha admitted that it leaves her "slightly worried".

"Maybe he’s having regular sex!" ventured David Walliams.

The comedian almost came to blows with Simon during filming after he was ranked as the worst judge of all time for a Britain's Got More Talent game.

But it seems they're back to being pals, as David hilariously turned up to yesterday's event dressed as his BGT boss.

Britain's Got Talent is back on our screens on Saturday at 7.00pm on ITV.
