Ant and Dec may get £30 MILLION to renew ITV deal

Ant and Dec

Ant and Dec could end up getting as much as £30 MILLION to sign a new deal with ITV.

The Geordie duo, who front shows including I'm A Celebrity and Britain's Got Talent, are currently contracted with the channel until the end of the year.

In an interview last week the pair said they had yet to agree a renewal and may try other things away from the telly completely.

"We haven’t decided yet. Me and Ant have talked but we haven’t talked to ITV. We normally do it before we go off to the jungle," Dec said. “Our three big shows and the shows we love are on ITV.

“But we are also evaluating and looking at other things.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Dec went on: "We could do something in the West End. We are throwing around ideas. These days it is not just ITV, BBC, Netflix, Amazon, it is all kinds of things. We love doing things live.

“We are also looking to do a comedy next year. It is something we have been discussing for years. There is stuff down on paper now.”

Now the Daily Mirror reports that the pair could get as much as £30 MILLION to keep them on ITV, three times their current pay of £8.4 million.

"The deal isn’t up until later in the year, but rest assured the bosses aren’t standing by letting it just run out - they’re already considering their options," a source told the newspaper.

According to the insider, ITV are "planning a new deal which will be very tempting for them" .

“The conversations are coming over the next few months so they’re working on their offer well in advance to make sure it all goes smoothly," they added.
