Britain's Got Talent duo Bars & Melody have scored a Top 5 hit with their debut album.

The musical duo - made up of Leondre Devries and Charlie Lenehan - made the final of Britain's Got Talent last year.

They quickly released single Hopeful, their version of Twista and Faith Evans' 2005 song Hope, which shot straight into the top 10 of the charts, peaking at Number 5.

This week saw their first album 143 go on sale and it's gone straight into the top tier of the charts.

In this evening's official Album Top 40 the boys entered at Number 4 with their debut effort.

However they were some way behind the top spot which this week was dominated by Jess Glynne.

The Official Charts Company reports:

The singer-songwriter’s first record finishes the week with combined sales of just under 60,000, giving her the second biggest opening week of any debut album in 2015, behind James Bay’s Chaos And The Calm (64,000 combined sales).

Elsewhere and over in the singles chart, Rita Ora's collaboration with Chris Brown Body On Me has climbed 13 spots ahead of her X Factor debut to re-enter the Top 40 at Number 28.
