Simon Cowell is said to be “fuming” with David Walliams over his Britain’s Got Talent 2015 buzzer choice.
In last night’s show we saw David finally hit the golden buzzer for singer Lorraine Bowen who had performed ‘The Crumble Song’ for the judges.
Simon complained: “You’ve done it again. What is your problem?”
But David insisted that Lorraine’s song about crumble was “catchy” and told Simon: “I don’t have a problem, that was very entertaining.”
An insider told The Sun newspaper this weekend: “Simon was holding his head in his hands after David pressed the golden buzzer for Lorraine.
“He feels David’s devaluing it by constantly giving it to joke acts.”
Earlier tonight, a livid Cowell tells Walliams: “Can I remind you that we are now paying you millions of pounds? I expect you therefore to judge this competition properly.”
However David hit back: Simon didn’t like her, he didn’t really get her, but then he doesn’t really like comedy.”
David went on: “So he didn’t like my Golden Buzzer but that’s OK because she’s going to be in the live shows anyway and I think she’s got a very good chance of getting in the final because she’s genuinely really funny and talented.”
He added: “She’s a British eccentric, she’s half way between Miranda Hart and Victoria Wood, she’s got that lovely warm sensibility about her.”
The Britain’s Got Talent 2015 auditions conclude next weekend on ITV with the live semi-finals beginning next Monday night.
