In tonight's show we saw Brighton music teacher Lorraine get the fifth and final golden buzzer of the series after a song about crumble.
The other judges all buzzed Lorraine but their opinions meant nothing after David hit the golden buzzer for her and her "catchy" song.
It put Lorraine straight through to the live semi-finals at the end of the month and left Simon Cowell with his head in his hands.
David - who insisted this week that Lorraine could WIN - said: "I really loved her. I thought she was funny, so I am really glad I pressed my buzzer for her.”
He added: “Simon didn’t like her, he didn’t really get her, but then he doesn’t really like comedy.”
David went on: “So he didn’t like my Golden Buzzer but that’s OK because she’s going to be in the live shows anyway and I think she’s got a very good chance of getting in the final because she’s genuinely really funny and talented.
“She’s a British eccentric, she’s half way between Miranda Hart and Victoria Wood, she’s got that lovely warm sensibility about her.”
While she originally buzzed Lorraine, Alesha Dixon has since changed her mind.
She said: “She”s actually hysterical. I said no to David’s golden buzzer act and then changed my mind halfway through, she won me over because she’s really funny.”
But does Lorraine stand a chance? Vote in our poll below!
The Britain's Got Talent auditions conclude next weekend on ITV.
