Britain's Got Talent 2015 continues ratings success with 10.2 million viewers

Britain's Got Talent 2015 continued its strong ratings last night with a peak audience of more than 11 million viewers tuning in.

A high of 11.2 million watched the fifth round of auditions as acts including singers, dancers, magicians and balloon popping dog all went before the judges.

An average of 10.2 million watched between 8Pm and 9:20PM, up 100,000 viewers on last week and the second-highest rated episode of the series so far.

Last night's show was also up 800,000 viewers on last year, making the current run the third most watched overall based on overnight numbers with an average audience of 10.2 million over the first five shows.

Over on ITV2 and Britain's Got More Talent continued to impress with over 1 million viewers again.

Earlier this month it was confirmed that Britain's Got Talent had become the most watched show of the year, overtaking EastEnders Live in the consolidated ratings which include those who caught up within seven days.

The third episode of the auditions on April 25th achieved consolidated audience of 11.9 million viewers/a 50% share of viewing, ahead of EastEnders' 11.6 million viewers from February of this year.
