Britain's Got Talent 2015 ratings dip but still more than 10 million watch


Ratings for Britain's Got Talent 2015 took a dip last night but the show was still the most watched of the day.

Even the birth of the Royal Baby couldn't harm BGT's numbers as an average audience of 10.1 million viewers tuned in.

It was down 400,000 viewers on last weekend's audience but the exact same huge rating that the first two episodes of the current series managed.

The episode peaked with 11.2 million viewers, down around 500,000 on last weekend.

Compared to the bank holiday weekend last year, yesterday evening's show as up by almost 600,000 viewers as the ninth series continues to prove one of the most watched ever, achieving an average audience of 10.2 million viewers so far.

Meanwhile, over on ITV2 and a everything from strippers to magicians meant a peak audience of 1.7 million for Stephen Mulhern and Britain's Got More Talent, seeing it top the digital ratings for a third week in a row.

Earlier in the day, the Royal Baby coverage peaked at 4.8 million viewers on ITV as the new Princess was revealed to the world.
