Britain's Got Talent enjoys best ratings in years

Britain’s Got Talent 2015 has brought in some bumper ratings so far with the show enjoying its best ratings in years.

An impressive 11.7 million viewers – over half the TV audience on Saturday night tuned in to the latest show at the weekend.

Saturday's show was saw a huge variety of acts including 5 piece dance troupe Boyband who secured the second Golden Buzzer of the series from Ant & Dec after wowing the audience with their energetic routine.

Magician Jamie Raven, 12 year old singer-songwriter Henry Gallagher and a 9-year-old martial arts performer also won spots in the next round.

The peak audience of 11.7 million was almost half a million more viewers compared to last week’s opening episode and the average audience was up 800,000 viewers year on year.

Britain’s Got Talent is the highest rating entertainment show of the year, and continues to be ITV’s highest rating programme of 2015 by almost 5 million viewers.

Over on ITV2 and Stephen Mulhern and the More Talent team have also been enjoying big numbers with 1.5 million tuning in to the latest show.

We reckon that coveted NTA isn't far off now.
