Alesha Dixon has hinted that she may QUIT Britain's Got Talent in order to pursue a career in the states.
The singer has rather big ambitions but reckons there's little where else for her to go here in the UK.
She said this weekend: “I mean, I have worked on Strictly and BGT. They are the biggest shows, so where do I go from there in this country? I am ambitious and I want to keep moving forward, so the obvious thing would be to work out there [America].”
Alesha revealed that she has already had meetings in the US about her own show, even coming face to face with "idol" Oprah Winfrey.
“I had a meeting with her TV network about doing a show out there," Alesha said. "I never get starstruck, but when I met her I was having heart palpitations. I admire her and everything she stands for so much.
“I love America. I love the attitude out there — you know, that you can get on and do anything you want. I really want to work there, that is my ambition."
Speaking to The Sun, Alesha went on to explain: “Music’s obviously my passion, so I’d like to do something to do with that, maybe another talent show or something sparkly.
“But I have done documentaries and I am open to anything that sounds appealing. I’d love to do a chat show. Call me greedy, but I’d also like to do acting, maybe a sitcom or an action movie.
However even if Alesha does ditch BGT for a new role Stateside, she has no plans to relocate across the Atlantic permanently.
The former Mis-Teeq band member said: “I want my daughter to grow up in England with an English accent. I am going to be touring with my music, so she will get to see lots of different countries as it is.”
Britain's Got Talent continues next Saturday night on ITV.
