A celebrity version of The X Factor, called Battle of The Stars, originally aired back in 2006 featuring the likes of Chris Moyles and was won by Lucy Benjamin but didn't quite prove to be the ratings hit.
“We tried the whole X Factor Celebrity show one year but it was a nightmare," Sion recalled. “I kind of think it would be an idea to try it again.
"Maybe it would be a good idea for Text Santa but I think Britain’s Got Talent might be the show."
Simon went on to speak about Sir Bruce Forsyth, saying that he wouldn't have him on the show as a judge but perhaps as a contestant.
"We could have Brucie dancing," the X Factor chief said. “I like him. I met him at a function a couple of years ago and he was fun.
“What I did like about him was that he was unashamed about the fact that he was competitive .
“I remember him giving out the ratings to journalists one year. I love that. He is 😯 odd years old and he really does care. He was truthful and honest about it."
And Simon claimed that Strictly Come Dancing would "miss" the hosting legend this year.
He said: "I mean that’s why they brought him out for that first show because they know that he is ratings.”
