Jamie Lambert of Britain's Got Talent 2014 winners Collabro has revealed he's gay.

The musical theatre performer has spoken about his sexuality for the first time, although said he it was never a secret.

“No one asked — I have nothing to hide from anybody," he declared today. "I think it’s really important that all gay people in the public eye just talk about it. The more that happens, the more normal it becomes.

“I remember when Stephen Gatley from Boyzone came out and it was a really massive deal.

“But I think nowadays it’s about being comfortable in your own skin and comfortable with who you fall in love with. It doesn’t make a difference whether it’s with a man or a woman.”

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Jamie said he was single while the other boys also spoke about their relationship statuses.

And unfortunately for the group's army of female fans, most of them are taken with only Michael Auger currently available.

However he confessed finding a girlfriend - and making it work - wasn't easy.

He said: “I say to the guys all the time that I don’t know how their girlfriends have stuck with them because they don’t get to see them.

“But I suppose that now we’ve made a lot of money, they will probably want to stick around!”

Collabro will release their debut album later this month on July 28.
