Britain's Got Talent 2014: Bars and Melody beat Collabro to be named favourites

Bars and Melody

BGT 2014 duo Bars and Melody are the new favourites to win this year's competition.

The teenage due have overtaken Collabro to be named as the bookies' tips to win the show after getting Simon Cowell's golden buzzer at the weekend.

We caught up with the boys earlier in the week to reveal they were the favourites and it's fair to say they were pretty shocked.

Leondre told us: "There's a little bit of pressure! I just want to deliver now."

Bandmate Charlie agreed: "If the public have got faith in us, we need to get those people to win their bets!

The bookmakers have made BAM the 3/1 favourites, ahead of boy band Collabro who are at 4/1 after their appearance on the first audition show.

Amanda Holden's golden buzzer act Paddy & Nico are given a 6/1 shot while Jack Pack are at 10/1 and magician Darcy Oake is at 14/1.

Other strong contenders include teenage singers Bailey McConnell and James Smith, but outsiders are Alesha Dixon's girlgroup REAformed, at 40/1 and Simon Cowell (the singer), at huge odds of 250/1.

However the auditions aren't over yet and there may be more potential winners still to see!

The show continues this Saturday night on ITV.
