The Britain's Got Talent 2014 judges aren't just competing over the acts this year, Simon Cowell has revealed.
Simon and his fellow judges - David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon - are all parents now and have become rather competitive over their kids.
Speaking ahead of the return of Britain's Got Talent 2014 next weekend, Simon said:"There's a lot of competitive parenting going on. Everyone thinks their baby is the cutest.
"David is the most competitive. I think he was miffed when I became a father because it meant he wasn't the centre of attention any more."
Simon had to dash out of auditions earlier this year to welcome his son Eric into the world and it sounds as though fatherhood has really changed the music mogul.
"I really, really am [happy]. I seem to come out of what I call a coma, which was just so work-focused," he told the Daily Mail this past week. "I can appreciated it now and enjoy it and have another side to my life, which I've never had before ... I think you can get very competitive.
"Everything in this business is about ratings and success. But it can take over your life a bit. It's still important to me, but it's not like it used to be. I suppose having a baby gives everything a purpose."
The Britain's Got Talent 2014 start date was confirmed last week as April 12.
