The Voice 2014 finalist Emily Adams has revealed how she was rejected by Britain's Got Talent.
Yesterday we waved goodbye to Emily after she was eliminated from the BBC One series.
Saturday evening's live show of The Voice UK kicked off in spectacular style as each Coach gave one of their acts a ‘fast pass’ straight through to next weekend’s live semi-finals and saw four acts leave the competition after receiving the lowest votes from the public.
The four artists to leave the competition in last night's The Voice UK results were Iesher Haughton from Team Will, Rachael O’Connor from Team Kylie, Georgia Harrup from Team Tom and Emily from Team Ricky.
But despite leaving the show, Emily did at least make it through to the live finals which is far further than she got on BGT.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper before yesterday's show, Emily told how Simon Cowell had stopped her audition for the ITV series halfway through.
"I sang Summertime and there was a big high, long ending note at the end which Simon Cowell stopped midway," she said. "I was like 'Oh my God! He’s stopped the song'. He said it lacked emotion but I did get four yeses."
However while it was a Yes through to the next stage, Emily didn't make it through to the live semi-finals.
Talking on The Voice last night it seemed that Emily had a much more positive experience on the BBC series.
"The past few months have been incredible – being next to Ricky and working alongside him has been amazing - he has been an incredible mentor," she said.
