Britain's Got Talent 2014: David Walliams is head judge! (or so he says...)

David Walliams (Britain's Got Talent 2013)

David Walliams reckons he's the head judge on Britain's Got Talent 2014.

It follows the comic being chosen to take part in a magic act on stage ahead of Simon Cowell.

"I'm the head judge on Britain's Got Talent," David declared during auditions in Birmingham at the weekend.

But Simon was quick to show his annoyance as both he and Amanda buzzed David off stage.

And it seems that the bickering didn't stop there with David revealing on Twitter: "So tonight @SimonCowell and I actually wrestled to the song 'Love Changes Everything'. #BGTBirmingham"

It's not just Simon that David's been winding up this week, taking to Twitter to explain: "I asked Dec out of @antanddec to sit on my lap so I could give him a Werther's Original like in the advert but he said no. That was hurtful."

Meanwhile, Simon reflected on the latest round of auditions as he tweeted: "I just got back from bit auditions in Birmingham. Really good and really strange. Lowlight was a dancing owl. Who didn't."

The BGT auditions will air on ITV in the Spring.
