The musician who pelted Simon Cowell with eggs on Britain's Got Talent 2013 has hit out at the music mogul for ruining the music industry.
Violinist Natalie Holt had previously auditioned for the show as part of four piece Raven Quartet, but failed to make it past the call back stage.
Last night saw Natalie on stage behind finalist Richard and Adam as part of a backing group of performers, as the Welsh duo performed The Impossible Dream in a bid to win the series.
But half way through, Natalie stepped in front of the duo and threw eggs at the panel, aiming at Simon Cowell.
Natalie claimed today that she was making a stand against Simon, explaining to the Telegraph: "I basically took a stand against people miming on television and against Simon and his dreadful influence on the music industry."
However in a statement released by the show last night, Natalie said: "I want to apologise to Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance. I’ve never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realised it was a silly thing to do."
A spokesperson for Britain's Got Talent commented: "During tonight’s show an incident took place during the finale of Richard and Adam’s performance.
"Natalie Holt was part of the backing group for their performance and as a result of her misguided actions the police were called. However, we have decided to take no further action at this stage."
