Britain's Got Singers: Amanda Holden defends amount of vocalists in BGT final

Jordan O'Keefe

Britain's Got Talent 2013 judge Amanda Holden has defended the amount of singers on the ITV series.

The BGT finalists were all confirmed last night as Attraction and Jordan O'Keefe became the latest acts to make it through the live heats.

But it means there are now six vocalists in the line up of ten acts competing for the £250,000 prize and a spot on the Royal Variety Performance.

Despite voting to send through singer Jordan over ventriloquist Steve Hewlett on last night's semi-final, Amanda said: "We left it to the public, they wanted Jordan so that was the right decision.

"You can't argue with the public's decision."

However Amanda said she'd be championing Steve for the wildcard spot for the final next weekend.

She added: "I love Steve and I love variety and I will be arguing for him as the wild card later.

"We'll have an argument about this later, we'll decide [the wildcard] tonight."

Alesha meanwhile backed one of the dance acts to take the extra spot next week, naming trio CEO Dancers and Joseph Hall as her favourites.

The Britain's Got Talent 2013 final airs Saturday, June 8 on ITV.
