Rosie O'Sullivan's audition for Britain's Got Talent 2013 audition hasn't even aired yet but it's already causing controversy.

The 19 year old student from Birmingham will be seen wowing the judges on tonight's show, singing This Is A Man’s World for the panel.

Before stepping out on stage, Rosie says: "I am a bit self-conscious.

“I’ve always been a big girl so I have been scared what people thought of me and whether they’d take the mickey if I stood on stage. I’m really scared.”

But the Daily Star report that the teenager is far from a shy wannabe who's only performed in front of her bedroom mirror.

Rosie fronts a band which has been gigging for well over a year, including corporate PAs.

“Rosie’s claims to be a wallflower who is scared of being on stage don’t quite add up," a source told the tabloid.

Regardless of the controversy, the judges were more than happy with Rosie's voice.

Alesha tells her: “Do you know Rosie, you sang that brilliantly. Your control is fantastic, and I have a feeling we haven’t even seen your full range of what you can do [Simon – I agree] I just think you’re amazing. Well done.”

A spokesperson for BGT commented: "Rosie is a student studying music and has always dreamed of being a singer.

“She’s previously performed in school choirs and has recently been singing in a band with friends.

“Her audition was the first time she has performed solo in front of such a large audience.”

Britain’s Got Talent airs on Saturday night at 7.45pm on ITV
