Britain's Got Talent 2013 star Robbie Kennedy has said he'd like to release Iris as his debut single.
Singer Robbie performed the Goo Goo Dolls track at his audition on Saturday night before sailing through to the next round.
Alesha Dixon gushed: “Robbie, you are so likeable. My heart is pounding. You just knocked me out. You have been blessed with a true gift.”
And Simon Cowell told him: "I wasn't expecting that, I think if you were to put that record out, you'd have a number one hit."
Robbie's performance of the song has shot the original back into the charts, with the track currently on course to make the Top 10 this weekend.
Robbie said the reaction had been "overwhelming" and admitted he'd love to release the song as his debut single.
Meanwhile, Robbie added that he chose BGT over The X Factor because it allowed him to be more versatile with his performances.
"Britain's Got Talent is the show I want to be on because I like to sing with my guitar. I want to play my guitar every performance," Robbie said.
Simon Cowell was also a big factor in Robbie's decision to audition for BGT over rival shows, with Robbie explaining: "With music it's Simon Cowell. He's the one who knows the music, he knows the music industry. I would say Simon is the one."
