The Voice UK accuses Alice Fredenham of 'acting' on Britain's Got Talent?

Alice Fredenham's audition for Britain's Got Talent 2013 has reportedly been branded 'an act' by staff on rival show The Voice UK.

On last weekend's edition of BGT, the 28-year-old claimed she suffered from stage fright and broke down at the reception to her performance, which won four yesses from the judges.

However, it later emerged that she had been rejected by its BBC rival shortly before, and earlier we revealed the stark contrast in Alice's confidence between the two shows.

In her Blind Audition for The Voice, which will air tonight, she admits to having performed at pubs and weddings - contrary to her BGT claim that she had been singing only 'secretly' since she was seven - before strutting out on stage showing little, if any nerves whatsoever.

According to The Mirror, 'insiders' at the BBC last night accused her of 'acting' on Britain's Got Talent.

They quote their source as saying: "How come she turned up to The Voice in all her 1940s gear and facepaint yet didn’t bother with a scrap of make-up on BGT?

"It’s a bit suspicious – Alice is laying it on a bit thick with all those tears."

Speaking to TellyMix earlier this week, Alice said: "The Voice rejection was quite disheartening, so I went forward for Britain's Got Talent and I'm just really happy that turned out well."

The ratings war continues tonight, with BGT airing at 7.00pm on ITV - before The Voice follows at the later time of 8.20pm on BBC One.
