Britain's Got Talent hopeful Jack Carroll was invited onto the show, it's been revealed.
The 14-year-old impressed the judges at the weekend with his jokes, many of which played on his disability.
But Jack is no stranger to TV, having appeared on various ITV shows including This Morning before.
And last year he won a Pride of Britain Award for his charity and fundraising work, which ultumately led to his Britain's Got Talent audtion this year.
His mum Sue told the Daily Star newspaper: "Jack won a Pride Of Britain award last year and afterwards we got an email or call saying ‘Would he like to apply?’ and he said ‘Yes’”.
Meanwhile, other acts from Saturday's opening audition episode have also had previous links to ITV revealed.
Gospel choir Incognito have previously performed on The X Factor, while 11-year-old singer Arixsandra Libantino originally auditioned for Britain's Got Talent two years ago.
A spokesperson for Britain's Got Talent commented: "We want to showcase the best talent around and therefore, we explore every avenue in our mission to do so.
“Arisxandra auditioned for BGT two years ago.
“She was only nine years old at the time and it was felt that she wasn’t quite ready."
They added: “As for Incognito, Simon had never seen or heard of them before the auditions.
“The show casts it’s net far and wide. Incognito were discovered by researchers via YouTube. All contestants are auditioned on merit.”
