Simon Cowell (Britain's Got Talent 2012)

Reality TV supremo Simon Cowell has shrugged off all those rumours that he's gay.

The Britain's got talent and X factor judge has been the targets of jibes about his sexuality for years, but insisted he has no problem with the jokes.

Speaking ahead of the return of Britain's got talent this weekend, which is sure to feature more jokes about Simon from David Walliams, the music mogul said he isn't fazed by all the speculation, but insisted he was very much straight.

He said: “I couldn’t care less because it’s nothing to be ashamed of. If I was living 200 years ago in a coal mine, maybe, but I work in possibly the gayest industry in the world.”

Simon added: “A lot of my friends are gay, but I’m not and don’t even think that way any more. It feels like such an antiquated question.”

In a rather bluntly honest interview with the radio times, Simon also opened up about is unusual methods of staying "healthy".

He explained: “I work out three or four times a week, I have Botox, take tons of vitamins and vitamin infusions – if you believe they work, you will feel better.”

Britain's Got Talent 2013 starts on Saturday night on ITV.
